Only with the boy actually having been found in the crashed balloon. Media hungry parents endangering their children.

Did she make a "newbie" mistake?

Did she handle the situation responsibly like an experienced sailor. i.e. know when to call for help?

Were they just mechanical failures that would happen to any experienced sailor prepared for such a journey?

If it's the first one, then I'd say go home and stay there until you can mature some more.

If it's the latter two, then she should regroup and try again another day. It's a worthy adventure. If you can pull it off, you can't beat the experience.
