GoM stock dividend was a huge source of income for working Americans
The Gulf of Mexico's stock of fish, shrimp, oysters and clean waters provided a living dividend for those working Americans who invested in boats, nets, and gear.

These working Americans are losing everything. And their children.. what about their children?

Can they survive on a promise from BP? Should they even try?

1. If the government seizes their assets, perhaps they should give shares to these people
Of course, the government still hasn't addressed the exploitation of African Americans with sufficient redistribution, and has allowed old money made off them to be used further to perpetuate disparity.

Fuck it man. Let's go bowling.

2. And it would be easy to find
these people...sort tax forms by zip code and/or by occupation (fishing, hotel, restaurant)

Wouldn't that be easy? You'd see what income they had and then send BP the bill.

Why don't we do that?

And wouldn't this give some folks in the US a few jobs...helping streamline this financial administration?

Or am I using too much common sense?

3. Remember: There are no billionaires who own BP stocks - only poor pensioners.
Now, you may think that the billionaires are using the pensioners for cover - much as Mom and Pop businesses are always used when defending business tax cuts - but only dirty commies think that.

4. yeah, I forgot
The smart pensioners saw the future and made sure their pensions were out of BP, right?
That's why the price dove.
