Thanks, Sarah!

Ms.Palin happened to arrive in Denver the same weekend we were having our state assembly. Her presence was noted by our holding a "Half-Baked Alaskan Party". Here's the thank-you note sent to Ms.Palin c/o her publisher:



Dear Governor, ur, Mrs. Palin,

I am writing to thank you for assisting our recent fundraising efforts with your book, "Going Rogue". As you may know (due to the attention in the press) The Colorado Democratic Party held a reception prior to your recent trip to Denver. We called it our "Half - Baked Alaskan Party", and it was very successful. We had such fun planning the event, even giving the specialty drinks memorable names, like a "Pit Bull with Lipstick" and a "Wild Turkey Massacre". I think it's safe to say everyone who attended had a lot of laughs that night!

One highlight of the evening was the opportunity to do a live auction of a donated, signed copy of your book, "Going Rogue". It brought in $350, 100% of which will go to our efforts to keep this important state blue.

We wanted to make sure you knew you made a significant contribution to Democratic causes in 2010 with "Going Rogue", and just by being you! This event has shown us that your persona really motivates donors to give to the Colorado Democratic Party. We expect you will provide us with plenty of fodder for our fundraising efforts in the future.
