10. If you look closely, a lot of right wingers do.
Someone put that together with child beating lately. I think it was Max Blumenthal in his BookTV segment where he quoted a couple of people who had done work with child beating and "conservatism".

13. My favorite part of the whole sad exchange
was when Frist decided to pull one of those right-winger dodges, and proceeded to insert a rather poor definition of "filibuster" into the budding discussion of how the right abuses the maneuver. Maher was so dismissive with his "well, duh" sort of reply, and Rachel and Evan Thomas ignored him with just the right amount of pity and embarrassment.

Frist's manner of speaking reminds me of a not-too-bright fundamentalist minister I know who spouts random Bible verses with an "a-ha, gotcha" air of finality. He really thinks he's making a point, and people are too polite to tell him he's an idiot.

16. I wish someone challenged that part that said Israel offered 90%+ to the Palestinians...
during the talks in the Clinton days.

Not as illustrated! It would be like, sure, I can 'own' my home, but if I want to go to the bathroom at night I have to pass a guy in the hallway with a gun.

man....
