I've been busy. When is/was BP's 72 hours up? What is/was

the day on which they were supposed to be collecting "the vast majority of the oil?" What is their goddamn excuse this time?

based on the statement which was made Tuesday evening your time. I'm BST which is GMT +1 so can't relate other than in simple terms.

It wasn't that BP were supposed to be collecting "the vast majority of the oil?" it was what would happen if they didn't. I don't recall what the threat was - go to bed early and no sweets ?

Broadly speaking, outside of the USA except us here on DU , I don't actually think anyone can give a fuck - its your yard not their's.

Was there this outcry in the USA when Bophal for example occured or when Occidental were instrumental in killing 167 on Piper Alpha in the North Sea ?

The only thing of common importance World Wide at present is the World Cup , sad to say , and tonight The USA plays England.
