Bush’s New USAID Nominee: Hispanics Are ‘Lazy’

President Bush plans to nominate Henrietta Holsman Fore to head the U.S. Agency for International Development “to replace Randall Tobias who resigned after his name was linked to an escort service.”

Fore is currently the State Department undersecretary for management. When Bush nominated her for this position in 2005, ThinkProgress noted that Sen. Barack Obama (D-IL) grilled Fore over her previous comments in which she suggested blacks prefer pushing drugs on the street to working in factory jobs.

Isn't there one semi-professional person * can appoint that has some tiny iota of decency.

Or is this really just a sign that he has truly surrounded himself with idiots, yes-men, and asshole opportunists that see his administration as a means to an end?

It used to be the Mexican in a sombrero sleeping under a cactus image that they used all over this country in the forties and fifties. Anyone who has actually worked side by side with Mexicans (and I have in restaurants) know that not to be true. These are some of the hardest working people on the face of the planet.

But in a letter to the college newspaper, Ms. Holsman reiterated her statement that she had trouble keeping black assembly-line workers from going “back to the street to earn more money” selling drugs

In her lecture, Ms. Holsman also said she had found Hispanic workers to be lazy, white workers resentful of having to work with machines, and Asians, while very productive, likely to move on to professional or management jobs."

Holtzman - a top notch lawyer.

How does he pick these people? Does he deliberately choose the worst person just because he can?

Bushco should just print that right on the presidential seal at this point.

Those who are intelligent, experienced, competent, and truly concerned about their fellow man need not apply.
