From a political satire poll:

The oil disaster is threatening to destroy the livelihoods of Gulf fishermen. And, while BP is promising cash, its claims process is completely disorganized.

With little compensation in sight, and unemployment still rampant, what are American fishermen going to do?

Though the poll is tongue-in-cheek, this really is a serious issue. It seems to me that there's a lot of work to do and a lot of available hands in the Gulf area - and BP has a lot of money. Why aren't they being matched up?

1. Have to admit I voted for a snarky one, as in
"Messengers to hand-deliver billions in BP dividends to shareholders"

But the fact is that a lot of the fishermen aren't qualified to take on the issues that need attention in the Gulf.

Well, maybe they can deliver those dividends and pocket them!

By the way, where'd the "logo" come from?

2. I agree with the scheme to pocket the dividends!
I've heard, however, that BP might delay it's distributions in light of the disaster. And, I have to say, I have mixed feelings about it. BP is 49% American owned. Get that money back into our pockets one way or another. Profit distribution is one way to do that.
