The bullshit in the "Ft. Dix terror plot" gets even deeper
http://www.thnt.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20070509/NEWS/70509011

<snip>
Circuit City corporate spokesman Jim Babb confirmed this morning
that a current employee was asked by one of the alleged terrorists
to dub a Jihadist training VHS cassette into a DVD.

<snip>

First, we're supposed to believe that these idiots planned a full-scale assault on a military base, then were going to somehow survive that and carry out attacks against other military targets. Now this? Sounds like a bad script for a B-grade movie.

I guess we all know the morale of the story folks: terra is still very much alive in this country, and keep spying on those dark-skinned folks!

1. Just look at all the other
huge plots they've broken up...just when the news gets bad. Guys with no money or guns who are going to blow up the Sears Tower. A bunch of guys in Miami...same story. This is just another bunch of BS to stop us from thinking about the mess in the justice dept.

2. I sort of let this one go as I figured Bush was saving us once more.
I think they have a folder of these things they drag out. The trouble is when something really bad turns up we will not believe it either. How can Bush taint so many things? I have got so I believe not one thing the man tells us any more. I frankly want to believe my govt. but how can I?

3. Do you remember after 911 that they ASKED people to use their
imaginations to come up with possible terrorist scenarios and send them in?
I think the contributions to that are in the folder you speak of.

some dialogue or twist in one of these stories and the whole thing'll be blown :P

9. Seriously?
I don't remember that, but what a silly thing to ask for.

This is no doubt the source of some of the crazy stories we've heard, and will likely continue to hear, as the screws turn in on the Rupublicons.

I'll just wait for the guy drinking beer and hanging in a recreational vehicle parked in a field somewhere to appear on TV saying, "Hey, that was my plot! I submitted this story to the guvmint way back yonder when they was askin' us all fer ideas..."

As Joan Rivers says, it's always a couple of guys drinking beer...

didn't a bomber (1993 WTC?) try to get the deposit back on the truck he blew up?

If anything I feel better knowing that potential criminals aren't exactly the masterminds they portray them as.

edit: spelling

and it is how they caught them all.
Also, Tim McVeigh got pulled over for having no plates.
Yes, most criminals are dumb, but not all.

"They" have been following these Fort Dix terrorists around for

Sixteen Months

but are just releasing the info now to get your mind off other things.

Bush/Cheney must be impeached and cut the crap already.

31. I like your style, too.
If they arrest them right away, we can accuse them of just trying to get our minds of the scandal of that day. And we could criticize them for not trying to penetrate the group in order to see who else was involved and whether there were any further links to other groups or individuals.

I boggles my mind how any thinking progressive could possibly think that those who are willing to bomb markets and religious processions in Iraq, buses and subways in London, as well as attacks in Pakistan, Algeria, Spain, and Morroco would dare attack anyone in our little ol' country.

got laid off in their recent "Patriotic" purge to get rid of the higher salaried staff? Either way, it's a bs story involving a bs company -and, need I add, a bs administration?

20. what gets me about this is...
did the guy who took the tape in to be copied, ever think that a video of "hooting and hollering" about "jihad" and "blowing up soldiers" would not get noticed? I mean, how stupid is that...especially in these days after 911.

I don't know. I would like to think that it's just as simple as it sounds--which it probably is--but still, these are some dumb, DUMB "alleged" terrorists.

24. Middleeastern people threatening an American target will always be called terrorism.
Does it always make sense? No. Is it a racist? Sure. But the media will always call these situations terrorism or attempted terrorism.

30. So let me get this straight...
A Circuit City spokesperson is willing to confirm the story, but NOT willing go any further for fear of compromising the investigation? As if the press isn't going to be in there now asking every employee all they know about it.

So presumably someone in the FBI said it was OK to acknowledge the event?

Sheesh.
