So when does the colonel from Monty Python show up to call the Fort Dix "threat" silly?

"No, the whole premise is silly and it's very badly written. I'm the senior officer here and I haven't had a funny line yet. So I'm stopping it."

From the "Army Protection Racket" skit on Monty Python's "Full Frontal Nudity"

1. Are they prepared for attacks
with pointy sticks?

Pull the lever that releases the tiger.

2. I mean it's just so stupid. What, are they fresh out of guns on a fucking Army base?

3. They are still in the Self-Defense Against Fresh Produce training
Fresh fruit not good enough for you?

Idle (Welsh): Like someone who attacks you with a pointed stick?
Sgt.: Pointed stick? Oh, oh, oh. We want to learn how to defend ourselves
against pointed sticks, do we? Getting all high and mighty, eh? Fresh
fruit not good enough for you eh? Well I'll tell you something my lad.
When you're walking home tonight and some great homicidal maniac comes
after you with a bunch of loganberries, don't come crying to me! Now,
the passion fruit. When your assailant lunges at you with a passion
fruit...

10. I hate when that happens

Although a drive by fruiting may be more palatable than a drive by hexing.

4. I Hadn't Thought of That
That skit is perfect. This whole plan sounds completely absurd.

8. Whoever wrote this skit could have made it a supermarket...
and I have to say, that might be scary, but a damn military base, you know, with guns and people who know how to shoot them and do it for a living, not exactly a soft target.

6. It's not just silly, it is "extremely silly"
It's so extremely silly that it deserves its own extremely silly walk.

7. My memory of this incident is vague, but I seem to recall that there was
a pretty serious incident maybe twenty years ago at an installation (Army?) where some servicemember went off the page, showed up at morning formation or physical training or something like that, and started PICKING OFF his shipmates with a rifle. He got quite a few of them before they were able to get him. I just cannot recall the details, it seems to me like it happened maybe in the eighties, but I'm not real clear on it...

11. You'll have a long wait
Graham Chapman passed away in 1989. The other Pythons, however, are alive and well.

12. Actually, I think it still might be possible...
the urn supposedly containing his ashes showed up to a reunion of sorts, so it's quite possible, though I doubt any lines will be delivered.

13. So like what's you problem with
believing six men with AK-47 rifles could have carried out a horrific massacre at Fort Dix?

Personnel at stateside military bases don't go around armed to the teeth like they do in Israel.

Back in the cold wars days everyone at SAC bases carried loaded .45s with them, and who knows they might have to go back to a similar policy at military bases in this country because terrorism.
