I played for DU tonight

The Rain Song and Communication Breakdown by Zep, September Song by Earth Wind & Fire, Wanted Man by Styx, bits and pieces of a couple other songs I caught the end of on the radio. All in all just about an hour.

For all the investigative work you do and the passion you put into it, for the collection of cartoon and the photos and polls that keep me aware of the world. For the love of country and mankind that comes through in person after person here. Mentioning you all by name would take an eternity, so know that all of you are a special community of poets, writers, musicians, mothers, fathers, sons and daughters, all wonderful in your own way.

For these things and for so much more I played. Oh like a Mofo.

We all need each other here. We all buoy each other up. We all inspire each other. I've certainly become more informed, more aware, and more activated since I discovered this oasis in a VAST, dry, extremely barren desert - the desert our poor, battered country has become.

ANY victory there is for Dems, liberals, progressives from here on - I'd venture to say that it's one in which DU has played a key role.
