BBV footnote

I just came across a notice that Lloyd T. Baccus passed away last October. Here's the obit:

Some of you may remember that bbv investigations from June,'04 turned up an "open payables" report from Diebold Election Systems, Inc, that included a $144,000 payment to "Lottery Services of Georgia" (LSOG). LSOG was a registered corporation in Georgia, and Lloyd Baccus was the registered agent for the corporation. (The corportation still exists but with a different agent now.)

I don't think the path of that money was ever fully understood by the bbv community. I personally did a fair amount of research trying to figure out why Diebold ELECTIONS would be giving money to a Georgia LOTTERY corporation, with little success. By all accounts Mr. Baccus was well liked and respected, including in political circles, especially with Democrats.
