I'm not crazy about how the M$M is calling the huge spill an "environmental
disaster." Shouldn't it be called a man-made disaster?

1. If you can't distinguish between cause and effect
then believe whatever you please.

3. I see what you are saying but I think in the context the environment of the Gulf, ocean, marsh
etc it is an environmental disaster, I would object if it was called a natural disaster to me implying it happened naturally. Environmental doesn't imply the environment did it, at least in my mind and this context as far as I am concerned, all disasters that don't occur naturally are man made.

4. It's a corporate crime. Against the earth and its people.
BP and partners. Corporate Crime. They stole safety. They lied. They are trying to preserve their money for themselves. They are adding to their corporate crime every day.

'Environmental disaster' implies that it isn't any one entity's problem.

It is an environmental reaction to a corporate crime.

Do not let them get away with this.

6. Disaster for the environment = environmental disaster.
Nothing the least bit inaccurate or inappropriate about putting it that way.

Don't you have something better to do with your time? Seriously?

7. Of course it's an environmental disaster--but I don't like how somehow the human
responsibility element gets shoved off to the side a bit.
