expect the death-toll to skyrocket in Afghanistan
'Alarming' rise in Afghan violence, says UN

Violence in Afghanistan increased dramatically in the first four months of this year, the UN says. In a quarterly report to the UN Security Council, it said roadside bomb attacks rose by 94%, compared with the same period in 2009.

On average, the report said, there were three suicide bombings a week, half of them in the country's volatile south.

The findings come amid a major Nato-led operation in Helmand and a surge of US reinforcements. US President Barack Obama ordered 30,000 extra troops to Afghanistan in December.

10. Think of it this way- the more of them we can kill
the fewer of them we'll have to share the lithium profits with.

And we don't like it when the impoverished third world citizens unite into an organized, financially supported entity to strike back at the empire.

The high-level consumer population of the globe is increasing quickly. As demand rises, resources will become scarcer, more quickly, thereby making resource wars far more lucrative. Strap in for a bumpy ride.

14. You say that, I ask this:
Who is funding the Taliban to the extent that we funded the Mujahedin to even approach making such a comparison? If we're the USSR, who's playing the role of the US? And don't say Pakistan, they can't afford what we spent.

...And how does it not matter that the Taliban number a tenth the size of the forces that fought the Soviets? And we've been there nearly as long, with 8% their casualty numbers.

You've made some pretty wild claims to insider knowledge before, let's see the cards.
