    1. AP - Carnahan: Congressional records should be public
JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (AP) — Democratic Senate candidate Robin Carnahan wants the records of federal lawmakers to be open to the public.

Carnahan called for an expansion of the Freedom of Information Act during a campaign tour Monday in which she criticized her likely Republican opponent, southwest Missouri Congressman Roy Blunt.

    2. where is the Teamster's union hall?
precusely on time for her visit. Bah, I was an hour and a half early for my last event and helped the organzier to unload her car.

I think she is wrong to speak against bailouts and I do not care for the Republican-lite rhetoric of "small business tax breaks".

    4. not too far from my own district
it's just a short hop across the border to Galena. I would not call my district Jenkins' district though. It belongs to all the people of the district. Just shorthand, I know, but it sorta irks me, like the district belongs to the incumbent of any party.

Does Carnahan have a primary opponent? We have five people running as Democrats for the Kansas Senate seat.
