have no choice now but to drill. Because if we don't, we fly off the energy cliff like Thelma and Louise. Peak Oil has finally gone mainstream and they're not even trying to hide it anymore. Even just tonite on NatGeo's How the Earth Changed History the host, who is a geologist, explains the premise of Peak Oil, and even uses the word "peak" a couple of times in the process, though he did not say the words "peak" and "oil" together.

Anyways, Dylan knows what's up and what will happen if a call to stop drilling is answered. We have no choice now but to drill until there is no more left to drill. It'a all about how that remaining oil is used. Will it be used wisely to see us through some sort of transition to a low-carbon existance. Or will we continue to use what's left in a fast and loose run right over the edge?
