Eliot Spitzer, Kathleen Parker to Co-Host New CNN Debate Show
It will debut opposite Keith Olbermann. Not so sure a comparison to "Crossfire" is an accolade.

Former New York governor Eliot Spitzer and conservative columnist Kathleen Parker are teaming up to co-host a new roundtable news show on CNN.

The still-untitled program will premiere this fall and air weeknights at 8PM ET, according to a CNN press release. The show, described as a "spirited, nightly roundtable discussion program" by CNN, will feature a panel of opinionated guests discussing the biggest news stories of the day.

"Other cable news channels force-feed viewers one narrow, predictable point of view; in contrast, CNN will be offering a lively roundup of all the best ideas -- presented by two of the most intelligent and outspoken figures in the country," CNN president Jon Klein said in a statement.

Spitzer says the show, which seems to feature a similar format to CNN's previous events debate show 'Crossfire,' looks to "advance the discussion of the defining issues of our time."

2. This Won't Go Over Well In Wingnutville...
Parker is a moderate...interesting that Chicken Noodle Nuze chose her. She's one of the rare rushpublicans with a bit of a conscious...trashing Mooselini during the '08 campaign. If her representing the right would be like Ben Nelson representing the left.

5. As much as I like Spitzer
Keith wins for me. I don't like that format, it gives equal validity to conservative views when their views are useless.
