Did anyone see the baby dolphin on CNN?
It's 10:30 cst and I just saw some amazing footage on Anderson Cooper's show. A man
was carrying a baby dolphin out of the ocean and onto the beach. The footage was
from Pensacola, Florida.

The Pensacola beaches are ravaged by tar balls and there is a clean-up crew there.

Does anyone know more about this baby dolphin. It was so cute! I wasn't sure what happened
to it, but it was amazing to see a man walking from the ocean, and up to the sand--cradling
an alert baby dolphin in both arms.

If anyone learns more about this little guy, please let us know!

1. Tough luck to the Dolphins
Edited on Wed Jun-23-10 10:39 PM by Oregone
But their sentient asses should have tried to develop tools to kill mankind in its infancy if they want my sympathy

I resent them because of what they didn't do while they were laying in their warm pool high on shell fish.

I kid, I kid

3. The Dolphin Died....I'm so sorry
I was crying my eyes out after reading this thread.

http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=102x443978

This catastrophe has me so upset and angry. We lived on the Gulf Coast for 7 years, and loved the beaches and wildlife; especially the pelicans, turtles, and dolphins. It is the first thing I think of when I wake up. Damn!

4. Oh no! The dolphin died???
He was just a baby! Oh, I thought he would be ok...he seemed lively and ok. I didn't
see any oil on him.

Oh, that makes me so sad. I thought he was rescued. :(

I couldn't get anything at your link.

Thanks for telling me about the dolphin. I'm so sad, but I wanted to know what happened to him.

6. Yes...And it is sooo sad.
I reopened the thread I originally read and made a tinyurl for you.

http://tinyurl.com/28ulj4x I know many here do not like it, but hopefully it works for you.

In the thread is a link to a local fox news article and video. It tells about them finding her.

8. i;m so sorry
i saw this discussed on another thread, i'm sure based on what i've seen that many dolphins have already died but they can't bring in the bodies -- i was in the worst affected area in barataria bay where the water is just a pudding now and it was full of dolphins before the accident...

this is the first documented oiled dolphin death...they needed to document this unfortunately

it is a tragedy, truly, v. v. sad
