I'm really getting tired of the MSNBC commercial breaks
The 5-10 minutes of every msnbc host saying "MSNBC - THE place for politics" three or four times.

1. Count your blessings
At least you're not being subjected to endless regurgitations of "fair and balanced" and, "We report--you decide." :puke:

2. The reason why I don't bother
with the "news" programs or the "opinion" programs.

Kinda like the Weather Channel, but stick with C-Span and the net for most of my information.

3. More like...
MSNBC - THE place for political stenography.

I actually hate that tagline.

4. Curiously
despite the fact that here in the UK on satellite we get news direct from Iran, Russia, India , the Far East and goodness know where else - we don't get MSNBC. Sounds just as well.

6. It's How They Get Ratings...
This "habit" goes back to the days of written dairies that showed the the more you said your station name and/or slogan, the more people remembered it...and in some cases could work against your competitor if you couldn't remember their slogan and put down MSNBC's instead. It's also supposed to burn in your brain...yep, brainwashing...or brainbranding if you will. Remember, these networks are highly competitive and their brand is what they sell...the fact you're watching means you're buying. Just like when you walk down the aisle of a food store and with all the logos and reminders around, you know where you're shopping, constant repetition is supposed to make you remember what you were watching. Dr. Freud and Marshall McLuan would approve...

9. Their breaks are so long I get bored, and either watch or do something else.
It can't be helping their ratings.
