Idea to boost tourism to gulf coast & florida panhandle by using the oil...

I don't know if anyone has come up with this idea yet but it seems to me like it would work.
BP should get some of those fishin boats to sculp the oil into what appears like the face of Jesus. Either in the sea or on the sand.
There would be people flocking there from all over the globe to see the miracle.

It would also boost public opinion of the oil since it would look like Jesus. Can't clean that up.

I'm just sayin. When life hands you lemons, make lemonade.

2. No tourism

Nobody goes to Louisiana or Mississippi to go to the beach. The beaches start in Alabama and most people go to the
FL panhandle where the beaches are gorgeous. It used to be so cheap to get a hotel when we were young and had no money. It's easiest to remove oil from a beach than a marsh.
