A Leftist Oath in support of Obama's centrist agenda

Raise your right hand and repeat after me:

"I, (state your name) do swear to support President Barak Obama's centrist agenda for the United States of America by arguing loudly, vociferously, and strongly in EVERY Forum that I have access to, for the MOST left wing position that I can abide and still be true to my beliefs.
I do this with the full knowledge that President Obama can and will point to MY position as what the USA can expect if HIS centrist agenda is NOT enacted. So help me God (or Cosmic Consciousness, or Gaea, or the Goddess, etc.)"

I think you are saying that if we push hard from the left, it will give Obama cover to enact legislation that is in the center.

I think you are saying that if only the right pushes hard, then Obama will have no one to balance the right and it will be harder for him to stay in the center.

If the state of the nation is such that we pose a "looming threat," then that's our reality. If the country as a whole has moved the Right, then all we can do is keep the flame burning.

Political expediences don't interest me. I vote and act my conscience. No lesser-of-two-evils or they're-worse-than-we-are voting models. No more compromising of principles. To do otherwise would make me as bad as those I condemn. I would be responsible for war crimes, exploitation, fear mongering, and empire.

I don't believe my vote carries much weight. I vote, but I don't expect it to make a difference. What I believe does make a difference is my support for NGOs and non-traditional media that promote my views and speak truth to Power. I also think my tiny efforts to convert the working poor into Socialists makes a difference, albeit a small one.

Right now, I'm just supporting anyone calling "Bullshit" when appropriate.

That's of course, once the opposition takes power. The woulda, shoulda, coulda, why didn't we, it was all one man's fault, will come in furiously then, after it's too late. That's how it normally works........

I've just heard a litany list of faults with this administration on my television on Sunday morning, and this will continue until the Left is dead-ass and beat. The United Citizen decision appears to have re-awaken the media in making sure that Democrats fail in November. Piling-on appears to be the choice that many on the Left are making.....and so once that bed is made, I won't want to hear shit; not a peep, since we will not have ever done all that we could do to see that the opposite happens.

It's characterized by virulent raging and a need to crush any infidels who have moral and ethical issues that are undercut by the hero, especially those that run contrary to the hero's stated or implied values that are subsequently betrayed or compromised beyond recognition.
