A thought on the loss of some seats in the up coming election
There are some tight Democratic seats (in more ways than one) that will be lost to Republicans the fall. That may sound like a bad thing, and indeed I do not wish it to happen, but it may not be as bad as it seems. The President is hell-bound determined to have bi-partisanship under the dome and that's not happening with the Republicans who are in office right now. Well, how do you get it then? Easy, get different Republicans. We know the existing crop of obstructionists won't work with our President, maybe the new batch will. Besides, in many cases all they would be replacing is a Democrat who didn't back the President either. If some DINO loses his seat to a Republican what have we really lost?

1. "If some DINO loses his seat to a Republican what have we really lost?"
Well, if we lose enough of them we lose control of the committees which would mean we'd lose control of the ability to bring legislation forward.

Those new republicans aren't going to get the money to get elected unless they are totally on board with the Republican party plan to sink the Obama presidency.

2. and added to the DINOs whose seats are not up until '12, we have a harder time
than we have now, because the repubes whose number have increased will be even bolder and nastier than they are now..

4. My thoughts on the upcoming election
Even if the democrats don't lose a single seat or even gain some, the media meme will be that republicans kept democrats from doing better, and our days are numbered.

9. There's not one repubican in a thousand who would work with Obama
In today's climate, all that will get nominated (and therefore elected) are right wing extremos.
