Male celebrities lagging behind on Forbes list
Compiled by Times staff

After looking at the Forbes' Celebrity 100 list for 2010, the big question is: When are men going to break through that glass ceiling?

Women dominated the magazine's annual list of most powerful celebrities, claiming three of the top five spots. (And we don't expect to see the two men on the list — Tiger Woods and James Cameron — on the 2011 list.)

Oprah Winfrey, with estimated earnings of $315 million, topped the list for the fourth time. She reclaimed the throne from Angelina Jolie, who fell all the way to 18th.

R&B singer Beyonce is second, thanks to a healthy year in album sales and Grammy trophies, along with endorsement deals in fashion and fragrance. Sci-fi director Cameron was third, thanks to Avatar's record $2.7 billion at worldwide box offices. Omnipresent popster Lady Gaga lands in the fourth spot. And despite Tiger's horrible year in the gossip rags and golf courses, he managed to land at No. 5.
