General Petraeus just gave us the headsup on our new policy

in Afghanistan: Kill as many of the Afghani people as we have to, including women and children, in order to beat them into submission to our forces.

The strategy is nothing short of mass murder.

I'm assuming that he and the others at the Pentagon and White House think that we can kill so many of the Afghanis that they will not have enough Afghanis left who will be willing and able to fight us. Rhetorical question: What happened to trying to win the people over?

And apparently we will stay there as long as we have to, but will pull out a few troops next summer so we can say we did. This is all sounding very familiar and very outrageous.

and then a third surge . . . then, we can think about withdrawing.

But, I'm afraid that withdrawal from Iraq and Afghanistan will be really be "falling forward" . . . into Iran.
