You know, it's not funny how the republicans in congress could...
Edited on Wed Jun-30-10 06:06 AM by Hubert Flottz
see the "value" in voting for every destructive bill that Bush and Cheney dreamed up and slammed through the Capitol building for 8 years, but they can't see the "Value" of protecting kids who's mothers or fathers lost their job through no fault of their own. The "Family Values" republicans punish these children for things that they imagine the parents of these unlucky kids are guilty of. "They don't want to work," say these knights of "Family Values." The "Values" party forgets that they, at their lobbyist masters request, passed tax breaks for the very corporations that moved their production facilities along with millions of American's jobs offshore.

What kind of life do the values voters think children have a right to? The right to want what they can't have like food or a place to live? The Masters of Family Values want to demolish your nest egg that you paid into all your life. The "values" guys are ALWAYS picking on the people who are least likely to fight back. Those guys aren't funny, they're sick!

Those "values" vultures claim to love America, but they work 24/7 to ruin the country that Abraham Lincoln once died saving. I don't think Abe would approve of the "Values" Party's detrimental message or their greed based "Values".

3. The republicans in the senate and house and on the stump, all
act more like a pack of rabid starving hyenas, than "Patriots"...Always ready to pounce on and devour the ones they perceive to be the weakest and the least able to defend itself, of "the human herd"

4. Values, Family and the like in the NEW American are synonymous with evil. As soon
as you hear one start talking about Values, Family Values, Values Voters and the like one can be sure it's going to be damn evil and repressive. Values Voters mean I'm going to screw myself and take along as many with me as I can. The pinnacle of ignorance = Value Voters.

10. EVIL is the best word to describe conservatives.
I often wonder what happened to them as children or through life to be so hateful and greedy. It's like they are void of all compassion or empathy for anyone. They all worship corporations and power, and always side with the rich and powerful over the weak and vulnerable. They all claim to be 'Christians', but they are all fakes. The person they 'say' they worship would condemn every one of their evil actions. And if Jesus was pulled off the cross just before he died 'Christian' conservatives would stand around and watch him die without helping because they would condemn him as a deadbeat and a loser for not having health insurance. The best word to describe them is EVIL...

5. Byrd filibustering the 1960s civil rights act is used as "proof" that he
never changed his mind on race ...

but Repugs filibustering damn near everything, from aiding the unemployed to holding corporations accountable for covering up systemic rapes? Gee, where's the media concentration on that?

People are starting to see right through the "Family Values" lies.

The GOPers can't live by the rules they expect others to live by. Their story is always a crock of crap.

The free ride for the corporate freeloaders and their political pimps in the GOP is about over.

I'll miss Senator Byrd.

I know what you mean about the republicans and their way of blaming all their shortcomings on everyone but themselves.

The GOPers must fool to rule. They can't handle the truth.

23. Terribly sorry about the Senator, HF. He made a difference with honor. I've worried
about him since the death of his wife. He seemed so terribly devastated and it seems quite common for long married couples to go close to each other.

I've seen some rude comments from supposed liberals. Apparently one is always the worst, or stupidest thing that one has ever done, no forgiveness ever.

The R's can never admit to any mistakes. In my experience with two of my supposed sisters, enthusiastic faux news and Palin fans, especially over the last five years, they are simply callous cruel bullies. They will bully anyone they perceive as "weak", even their painfully dying, newly widowed and still grieving mother. And all of it was done to my Mom over control and money, a fairly large inheritance, though divided 13 ways.

Sorry for TMI and rambling; it's been a hard year since Mom died last July 22. Dealing with republicans has made my, and my loved ones, lives hell for the last 5 years.

Neither nice nor compassionate people.

Have a safe 4th! :hi:

Some people never forgive anyone or anything. People like those deserve no forgiveness themselves.

I hope you and your family can resolve your issues.

You have a safe and happy 4th too.

18. It's All About Power...
They voted for those bills cause they got a payoff...money thrown at them by their lobbyist puppetmasters and perks from the totally corrupt booosh regime. From 2001-09 we lived in a kleptocracy where power was absolute and the corruption was even more absolute. Their stupidity, greed and intolerance was the major cause they fell from power between 2006 and today...they just couldn't resist pillaging every aspect of the federal government they could leaving this administration a massive clean-up mess that they're now cynically playing to regain the power they lost.

The tactic of obstruction has been a GOOP hallmark for the past three decades that is designed to make Democrats appear inept by gumming up as much of the beneficial side of the government, then running around and screaming how "big government doesn't work". They have created their own lexicon and talking points that mask their true racism and greed but it's never far from the surface.

I've long thought that those who are addicted to money and power suffer from low self esteem and thus become selfish and greedy to compensate for their lack of compassion. Sadly we see there's a large segment of this country's populace that agree with them...

Cheers...

19. It is sad that so many agree with their greed based stupidity...
The dumbing down that Reagan prided himself on, is alive and well.

If the American people don't wise up soon, the party will be over.

20. The Party Ended When We Went On The Credit Card...
Call it the "entitlement" generations...we've grown up with the concept that one is "entitled" to luxuary...be it a nice house or car and the latest toy. The ethos of working hard and being rewarded was replaced with buy now and worry about it later. It led to a populace hooked on "the finer things" that somehow equated to a superior form of life while letting the debt build up. Greed became a virtue and if you couldn't earn it, you could always charge it. The greed has led to a willful igornance and intolerance as the entitlement has turned into a compulsion...an addiction.

Today we're a bankrupt nation...financially and politcally as well as in denial. People don't want to wise up, they want what they want and they want it now.
