It's a given that right wing cartoonists have the intelligence of a milk crate, but Jesus:

Really? All by himself? With that itty-bitty chainsaw? REALLY? The previous four presidents, Laissez-fail economics, the greedbag private sector, the MIC and the me-first undertaxed wealthy had absolutely NOTHING . . . NOTHING at all to do with that redwood's demise?

COME on Lisa. COME on. You CANNOT be THIS stupid.

Talk about "wingnut welfare", if he wasn't used to "balance" Doonsbury he'd be drawing caricatures at county fairs.

3. I'm not so sure.
We all know Bruce Tinsley's a hateful jingo-drunk who draws everybody like a foot.

Does Lisa Benson seriously believe one man - in a period of 1.5 years - is solely responsible for toppling something as large and 30-years-fragile as the U.S. Economy?

I mean, there's absurdity and there's just downright DUMB. Where did that line get hopped over?

5. I thought wing nuts were in favor of clear cutting our forests.
At least Obama is trying to create something from the destruction Republicans favor so highly.

6. There are certainly things to bash or criticize Obama for.
But not once...ONCE...have I ever seen a rightwinger make a substantive criticism. Their little heads are full of the most pitiful Beckology and Rushomancy...

I mourn for America...

8. Well, it's kind of signature Republican . . .
. . . to either blame one man for, or come up with quick-fix solutions (like tax cuts for the rich, par example) to, complex long-standing economic problems.

7. Funny thing...
Without the chainsaw the cartoon makes the point that green jobs are simply too small to replace the economy - which is wrong, but still "works" as a cartoon after a fashion. But then she throws the chainsaw into the mix, and implies that Obama destroyed the economy just so that he could replace it with something puny, and it's so stupid and bizarro-worldly that the cartoon becomes a laugh in itself.

13. An objective reader would understand that ...
"kept the country safe for 7 years" is an explicit statement of massive failure. Guess you're right she's a total decoupled from reality loon.

12. at least it's not Iran as a sewer grate from which emerge roaches
troubling Iraq, the Levant and Afghanistan--countries which would be perfectly content with their occupations if only those Mad Mullahs didn't stop riling them up! just like the Darkies of the 50s and 60s and the Damnyankee Carpetbag Red front YWCA!
