Sidney Sheldon Died!
LOS ANGELES - Sidney Sheldon, who won awards in three careers, Broadway theater, movies and television, then at age 50 turned to writing best-selling novels about stalwart women who triumph in a hostile world of ruthless men, has died. He was 89.

Sheldon died Tuesday afternoon of complications from pneumonia at Eisenhower Medical Center in Rancho Mirage, said Warren Cowan, his publicist. His wife, Alexandra, and his daughter, author Mary Sheldon, were by his side.

"I've lost a longtime and dear friend," Cowan said. "In all my years in this business, I've never heard an unkind word said about him."

8. Prayers sent to Molly
I hope what you read was incorrect. She has so much 'fight' and inspiring words/ideas to give to us. May Molly succumb to serious healing. And if not, may she know how many people she has touched/informed/motivated over the years - and may she find peace in that knowledge... and most importantly may she be surrounded by love via those close to her.

6. in college - when an escape was needed
Sheldon always delivered. My taste moved towards other genres, so I haven't read him in years, but he was the first author that I 'followed' (as in read many of his novels and kept seeking more). RIP
