The next time a Republican asks you why Democratic Presidents are anti-business.....
(A Republican at work asked me today why Democrats were anti-business.... here's the data I later gave him)

Dow Jones on 1/20/1993 (When Clinton was sworn in):
3242

Dow Jones on 1/20/2001 (when GWBush was sworn in):
10588

Dow Jones on 1/20/2009 (when Obama was sworn in):
7949

Dow Jones today:
10139

Gain under Clinton: +7368.... or +227%

Loss under Bush: -2639.... or -25%

Gain under Obama: +2190.... or +28%

To put it another way:

For every $1 the average investor had in the market when Clinton took office, he had $3.27 when Clinton left.

For every $1 the average investor had in the market when Bush took office, he had $0.75 when Bush left.

For every $1 the average investor had in the market when Obama took office, he now has $1.28 (in just 18 months).

Whatever else you want to claim about Democratic Presidents vs. Republican Presidents.... you CANNOT make the claim that Democratic Presidents are "anti-business".

Businesses share values do much better when a Democrat is sitting in the Oval Office.

2. Obviously, Obama is benefiting from Bush's economic policies!
Just like Clinton benefited from the Bush before him!

(I don't have to add this, do I?)

5. Republicans don't Ever ask you anything, they Tell you.
Republicans feel they are NEVER wrong about anything and they NEVER need to ask Democrats about or for anything..

6. It's All About The Big Lie
Many GOOPers have lived in a bubbleworld for the past 30 plus years of non-stop talking points and simple answer to complicated problems. Their corporate masters (who truly run the rushpublican party) have drilled the mantra that business is good, government is bad to such a degree it's an article of faith; something not to be questioned.

We now see the rushpublicans doing double back flips into shark tanks laden with their own hypocrisy with more lies created to "square" their world view along with their own media that perpetuates it. No need to ask questions when you can be fed a daily "affirmational" of new talking points.

In many ways we're still too close to the forest to see the trees. People are looking at their immediate situations rather than what caused things and no longer are buying the "blame booosh" (no matter how true it may be) for problems confronted by this administration. In the political world, it's all perception and in many cases it's an astroturfed one.

8. 40% And Sinking...
And if you add the blame both number to blame Obama and it's over 50%. As the economy remains stagnant, nearly 20% of the population is either unemployed or under employed and credit remains tight as a drum President Obama gets the blame. It's "what you done for me lately" and in our short attention span society boooosh's crimes and messes are "old history".
