A message to Transocean and other companies protesting the deep water drilling moratorium:
So you guys want to go back to work? You want to keep drilling at other deep water sites? Thousands will be impacted by the loss of jobs you say, and that may very well be true. Well you know what? Thousands will be out of a job when we finally get the hell out of Iraq and Afghanistan too, but that doesn't mean we shouldn't get out asap. Drug kingpins get sent to prison and the underlings have to find legit jobs, or some other criminal enterprise to support - bummer. So here's the deal, if you guys want to go back to work all you have to do is stop the Deepwater Horizon gusher and stop it damn quickly. Your entire industry had us all convinced that you were responsible corporate stewards of our natural resources, but then this happened and now most of us think you all are really just a bunch of stupid, greedy, motherf*ckers - the last term meant quite literally for what you are willing to do to the earth in the name of "jobs". This is not just about the economy of the Gulf States, this is also about Georgia, and South Carolina, and Cape Hatteras, and Virginia Beach, and the Jersey Shore etc. Turns out in reality it was just a matter of time before this happened, so show us that your industry is really better than we think, and share your secret for stopping an undersea gusher and then we'll let you get back to work.

1. Great message!
Boohoo for the oilmen whining about being temporarily out of work. How about the hundreds of thousands who will be permanently out of work in coastal towns?

The town I live in will be a ghost town when the oil gets here.

2. Jobs
The number of lost oil rig jobs pale in comparison to loss of fishing jobs and tourism revenue.
Where do you live?

3. In live in Clearwater Beach, FL.
You can already see the difference in the number of tourists here compared to last summer.
