You can almost see the steam coming from her ears: Palin gets skewered by BOR again..

Palin knows she's being skewered but she's probably got no standing to go whining to Fox that O'Reilly - their number one host - didn't treat her fairly by asking her questions she couldn't answer.

Is Sarah Palin in favor of granting legal status for the undocumented immigrants already in the country? She seemed to be last night, before she seemed to walk it back. Whatever she's for or not, Bill O'Reilly doesn’t seem to have much respect for her "insights" on the subject. For the second time in a few weeks, he virtually destroyed her credibility when she was poised to use his show to boost it.

1. Billo is very Nixonian in his dislike of people who gained success without effort.

33. Of *other* people who gain success without effort, perhaps.
I can only believe that the old whore wants to clear the field of the GOP candidates who look and sound as dumb as their platform really is.

39. Well, Billo's whole narrative is that he's this kid who grew up
from hardscrabble beginnings to become this huge success (I don't think that's true, I'm just saying that's what he believes).

So it's natural that, like Nixon, he'd hate Sarah Palin. She was granted her time in the sun during the 2008 campaign and refuses to relinquish the spotlight.

2. I think he's forced to put her on, but doesn't like her one bit. About time someone holds her feet
to the fire, even though he soften the blows somewhat. She's an idiot, pure and simple. She's out for the money, doubt she'll ever run for any office again.

he is. Sorry Sara, you are treading on sacred ground.

9. Yep, I think that's dead on target.
O'Reilly wants to be the demigod of the conservative movement, a dumber William F. Buckley figure, not Palin, Beck, and the Tea Party loons.

3. She doesn't have a clue and that's been evident since
McCain yanked her out of Alaska. She's had all this time to develop, or even learn about policies and she can't answer a simple question on Fox. Even with O'Reilly prompting her. Can't bother her silly little brain with responding to a serious question when we can talk about Mama Grizzlies :puke: and pink elephants. She's sickening.

I hope other people are as sick of her as I am. Of course I was sick of her in the first five minutes of the big announcement that she was the V.P. pick.

6. I hate to admit it
but between the gop convention and Catie Courics Interview... I was nervous. hell that "Gotcha question" about What do you read? I rattled off ten publications I read. Then Palins tap dance and the dear in the headlights stare... (Read... you mean actual words?)

I knew right then we just had to get the word out about her.

10. She's being exposed on Fox - of all places!
O'Reilly has a huge audience. Maybe Rupert Murdoch hates her and is using his network to show what an idiot she is. One can only hope :-).

22. The word has come down to stifle the Teabaggers.
Now that they are careening around the Republican primaries like a Frankenstein's Monster making a complete hash of things, the money that started the entire mess has been yanked out from underneath them in an effort to rein them in.

They've mucked up a few Republican primaries getting un-electable idiots in as candidates.

Palin promptly ran to the front of that parade and tried to declare it hers, but it seems that her lust for making money off the ignorati finally turned some of them off to her.

Even Dick Armey, the bag man for this entire mess, was quoted as saying they needed to drop the "Tea Party" label as candidates...I guess someone either wants the brakes put on, or to have the loons try to be a little more stealthy when trying to fool people as to where exactly their political philosophy and loyalty lies.

12. You know, I didn't think I'd ever say this, but I think more highly of Bill O'Reilly...
...than most of the other so-called pundits on the right.

This doesn't mean I hold Bill O'Reilly in anything but contempt. It does mean that my greatest contempt is reserved for others; I have less contempt for O'Reilly than Levin or Hannity or Beck and so on, and so forth. O'Reilly at least has some tiny, almost imperceptible and usually dormant but still verifiable smidgen of class.

I will say this, since the very liberal rules allow me to say it here: fuck pundits in general. Fuck 'em all.

13. The thing about O'Reilly is he actually has beliefs
They are repulsive beliefs, but they are in fact consistent, unlike someone like Glenn Beck who simply presents the face he think will get him the most followers. It's kind of funny to see others on the right fail to get this about Billo and assume he's on their side just because they're theoretically on the same team. While Billo's atavistic worldview lines up pretty closely with the political right the alignment isn't perfect, and when he has a difference with a Republican he goes after them with the same energy he directs at people on the left he doesn't like or agree with.

And he has, without a doubt, noticed that Palin is a self-serving idiot who doesn't even understand her own rise to prominence.

19. I read an article once that Conservatives prefer to be interviewed
by unabashed Liberal Jon Stewart than by Conservative pundits. It cited interviews with several Conservatives and the concensus was that Jon actually listens to them and asks relevent questions, whereas the Conservative pundits always try to steer the interview toward supporting their own pet theories/agenda.

36. Jon Stewart is not an "unabashed Liberal."
In the "Go Fuck Yourselves" gospel-choir segment against FUX he makes it clear that he embraces conservative, libertarian, and liberal views. These views are easily detected during interviews, particularly when it comes to "national security" and the military.

29. I despise O'Reilly, but that was entertaining
She is utterly clueless. Allow the 12 million illegal immigrants to stay. Don't allow them to stay. Allow them to work. Don't allow them to work. Deport them. She changed her position at least 3 times in those 4 minutes.

And then the contempt that O'Reilly had for Palin and her grizzly thing was beautiful. And her response was meaningless.
