Multiple heat waves cap Earth’s warming trend -- Record highs outpace record lows
Climatewire, July 9th, 2010 — This time, the heat is really on.

From Boston to Washington, D.C., temperatures have soared to 100 degrees or more in recent days, stressing electrical grids, scrambling rail transportation and prompting the swift creation of cooling centers for those who lack air conditioning.

Central Canada, portions of the Middle East and China are also coping with searing heat. Overall, according to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, the combined global land and ocean temperatures from January to May were warmer than in the same period in any year on record — a comparison that reaches back to the 1880s.
--
Scientists have documented a pronounced warming trend in the United States and around the world over the last several decades. In its 2007 report, the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change concluded with 90 percent certainty that human-caused greenhouse gas emissions have been the primary factor in Earth’s overall temperature rise since 1950.

Meanwhile, the World Meteorological Organization said late last year that the 2000-2009 decade appears to be the warmest since record-keeping began in the 1850s.

3. Hannity will say this is the coldest year in history.
Some of these guys are absolutely convinced that the climate isn't changing, based on what I have no idea. They exhibit the three characterisitics of conservatives:

1. Strong opinions
2. Absolute certainty
3. Total ignorance

6. Back in January the RW Media Hatemongers were scoffing at GW.
Edited on Sat Jul-10-10 02:01 PM by lpbk2713

That was easy for them to do because there was snow on the ground for the Shittoheads to associate their lame points with.

But now with record highs being recorded every day I suppose they have found other things to lie talk about.

7. Butbutbut...
Global Warming is a leftwingoneworldgovernmentislamofacistsocialcommunist lie, thought up by Al Gore! That can't be the reason why we're having record high temps, after all it snowed in New York just this last January, and that proves it's not true!

Oh, sorry, my stepdad got on my account, sorry.

9. Now that I think about it
Where I'm at, it's normally very rainy during the summer, two years ago, it rained almost everyday, but this year, it's been unusually calm and very hot and humid. But no one here wants to even think or talk about climate change.
