BREAKING -I knew it - Cheney had major surgery last week
Edited on Wed Jul-14-10 03:26 PM by malaise
Severe congestive heart failure - another heart device implanted.

He is still in ICU - so he and his family hid this from America - what a fugging bunch.

Breaking on GEM$NBC

37. Possibly, but I doubt Cheney is up for the job.
Word is that Satan's a little pissed off at the Bush Crime Family. After all he has given them over the years, to invest that much evil into someone as dumb as Chimpy. Can hardly blame the Dark Lord for being disappointed at that :evilfrown:

59. I asked my therapist once about...
...truly evil people and if they ever come out of denial about
what horrible monsters they are, and the pain that they have
caused others.

Therapist said they are all the same...the denial sheds when they
are dying.

Being that evil and causing that much pain requires a great deal
of mental exhaustion. You have to suppress so many basic human
emotions and stuff down an enormous amount of pain, shame, guilt.
You literally have to block out reality, and this takes a great
deal of psychic energy.

But when you begin to die, your body and your mind start helping
you to let go. So, you begin to drop all of the denial. For one,
you don't have the energy to keep it going. Two, it's unnatural
to live in that state and death is a very natural state that
urges you to let go of everything--mind and body.

So..I'm not sure there is an afterlife or a hell. However, it sounds
like "the end" is a living hell for these people. We'll probably never
hear about it, but it's likely that Cheney, as he sheds the denial, will
feel as if he's in hell because he'll finally be faced with himself.

At least, let's hope so.

http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,596725,00.html
<snip>
Former Vice President Dick Cheney, who has a long history of heart problems, has been fitted with a left ventricular assist device (LVAD), which is a battery-operated, mechanical pump-type device that's surgically implanted to help a weakened heart sustain life.

Cheney, 69, underwent the procedure last week at Inova Fairfax Heart and Vascular Institute in Falls Church, Va.

In a statement, Cheney said he decided to get the LVAD implanted after it “became clear that he was entering a new phase of the disease” when he began experiencing congestive heart failure.

Patients with LVADs, like Cheney, can be discharged from the hospital and have an acceptable quality of life while they wait for a donor to become available.

“This will help him have a more active life,” Goldberg said. “He won’t be running marathons, but his life will be better with it than without it.”

51. Not true. You have to actually serve in the military...
Edited on Wed Jul-14-10 04:56 PM by Dennis Donovan
Because of the modern rules regarding interment eligibility, those who served in the military who have ALSO served as an elected official will get to be buried there:

http://www.arlingtoncemetery.org/funeral_information/guide.interment.html

<snip>
g)Any former member of the Armed Forces who served on active duty (other than for training) and who held any of the following positions:
-An elective office of the U.S. Government
-Office of the Chief Justice of the United States or of an Associate Justice of the Supreme Court of the United States.
-An office listed, at the time the person held the position, in 5 USC 5312 or 5313 (Levels I and II of the Executive Schedule).
-The chief of a mission who was at any time during his/her tenure classified in Class I under the provisions of Section 411, Act of 13 August 1946, 60 Stat. 1002, as amended (22 USC 866) or as listed in State Department memorandum dated March 21, 1988.
</snip>

With the sole exception of President of the United States, you HAVE to have served in the military.
