Barnicle rips on Cheney and Praises James Webb...
Edited on Tue Jan-30-07 11:04 PM by illinoisprogressive
I love what he says here on Imas about Cheney and then about Webb. Priceless.

Boston Herald reporter Mike Barnicle, appearing on MSNBC's 'Imus in the Morning' show, describes Dick Cheney as a "paranoid, arrogant, and now, thankfully, frightened Vice President of the United States."

Barnicle, a regular guest of show host Don Imus, also praises Sen. Jim Webb (D-VA) as "an original" and "a guy grounded in reality" who'll be a plus for the U.S. because "at any given time he is liable to reach across the aisle or reach across the desk in front of him and choke the person that he's dealing with."

The Herald writer often tempers his heated opinions with humor, as does Imus, who describes Cheney at one point as a "war criminal."

3. I LIKE Jim Webb...
...but I keep in mind he is a Democrat electable in Virginia....We will agree a ton on Iraq, if only because he sees it as unwinnable and as to his populism on class warfare I like it-but before I buy it he has to suggest a move to first of all rebuild the middle class, and then address universal health care, and then how to handle those both lost and locked in poverty...a cohesive plan on that and he can be my next President...
