Edited on Sun May-13-07 01:14 AM by babylonsister
lovely Mom's day. Mine died in October 1990 and I remember going to a card store in 1991 to try to buy a card for my mom-in-law. It was bad, tears flowed copiously, but it gets better. Tomorrow, we have a great meal and harken Mom, who was a much better cook than I am. She will be in my heart forever. :loveya: :loveya: Love to all you moms; I hope you make as great an impression on your kids as my mom did on me.

called mine (87 in New Orleans) yesterday and will visit with mom-in-law (80 although I believe I heard something about being stuck at 39) today here in St. Louis.

5. I called Daughter today. She's my scholar.
She flew across the country last night for summer school and is tired and depressed at leaving beautiful california.

I don't blame her.

Mom is gone and I'm still bitter and pissed about how insufferable she got in her old age, and how many cubic feet of junk I am still sorting thru and selling and throwing away, in order to maximize the inconvenience to me as the only surviving child of a world class packrat.
