$7.5 billion

Let's see here...no public health insurance option... foreclosures continuing at a fast clip...we have to wait until 2012-2014 for many of the health insurance "reforms" to take place if they are not repealed by then.

Yet we have money to throw around like this:

Clinton to present Pakistan with first major funding from $7.5B package
By Karen DeYoung
Washington Post Staff Writer
Sunday, July 18, 2010; 8:50 AM

ISLAMABAD--Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton arrived Sunday to present about $500 million in new U.S. aid to Pakistan, part of the administration's ongoing efforts to improve its partnership with a key player in President Obama's Afghanistan war strategy.

The aid, primarily for water and energy projects, is the first major funding to flow from a $7.5 billion, five-year development package approved by Congress last fall. Economic assistance this year is projected to surpass military aid to Pakistan for the first time in a decade.

3. When do us taxpayers/citizens get a break?

Our crumbling infrastructure, our crumbling school system, our terrible healthcare rationing system, on and on...

2. This insane drive to appease really pisses me off.
We buy off warlords, and they still burn our convoys.

We send 'aid' to Pakistan, and the ISI still helps the Taliban.

After nine fucking years the United States still does not have a clear set of goals for why we are in Afghanistan.
