Clinton Says Bush Governs 'For the Few'
Published: 5/13/07, 12:25 AM EDT
By JULIE CARR SMYTH
COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) - Hillary Rodham Clinton criticized President Bush on Saturday as running a "government of the few, for the few and by the few."

"For six long years the hardworking families of our middle class have been invisible to this president," she said, promising to be a president who again sets goals for the country.

Democrats attending the Ohio state party's annual dinner gave a rousing cheer when the senator from New York asked, "Are you ready to end the war in Iraq and restore America's reputation around the world?"

Only two Democrats since 1900 have won the presidency without carrying Ohio and no Republican has done so.

1. Wow this is big news
Hillary realizes that this is a democracy for the Few. But will Hillary give up those special interests? Sorry Hillary you are no FDR.

2. She's married to a guy who, while in office, didn't give a damn about
the middle class either.

And she's just like him.

3. So why let two families control the Executive Branch for 32 years?

Why let one tiny cabal within the Democratic Party (the DLC), supply our candidates for 20 years? That definitely sounds like government "of the few" to me.

I think it's time for the DLC to prove that they actually believe the Democratic Party is the "big tent" party, by not demanding to run the show for once.

4. We don't need a Dynasty here at all...
I personally want to see John Edwards win, but I'll vote for whoever the Dem nominee is, even if I have to hold my nose and vote for Hillary

6. Yep... good thing she knows which way the wind is blowing this week
and can change. If she were serious at all, she'd vote on legislation to end this illegal occupation and also to start impeachment proceedings.

But that's just my opinion, everyone is free to disagree and/or think for themselves.
