New Evidence Links BP to the Controversial Elimination of Protected Wild Horses
From Federally Mandated Land by the BLM

The Ruby Pipeline, a 675 mile long, 42″ diameter, natural gas pipeline that is being built right through the Mustang’s protected lands is a project of The El Paso Corporation in Houston, Texas. El Paso Corporation has almost as besmirched a past as BP Energy and some of their own contractors have come forward and said the construction of the pipeline will be devastating to not only the Mustangs but also to the protected habitats,

knees start jerking.

How about this one?

4. So they're *not* the UFO guys?
...and George Knapp isn't the guy who "broke" the Bob Lazar/Area 51 stuff?

5. I have never seen a UFO, I don't give two damns about UFOs
But I HAVE seen wild horses running across the plains.

6. Well, me too.
But frankly if Knapp et al told me I just saw a horse, I'd look again to make sure.

7. I don't suppose you've seen
BPs disregard for wildlife when there's a profit to be had, and I don't suppose you've noticed how BP has used "our" representatives in DC to insure that profit, either. 2 + 2 often equals 4, unless you're willing to be sidetracked by UFOs.

10. Well, I'll thank you for bumping this thread, then
even though it was done with disdain.

If we have no regard for the freedom of wild mustangs who have lived on that land for god knows how long and whose wellbeing was subsequently placed in the hands of the government, how much regard should we, then, expect from that same government? Apparently not a lot if we're in the way of their progress.

11. They are capitalists practicing 'due diligence'

Their investors have been very pleased with them, over all. Sure, some are bailing now but they have been more than happy to collect their dividends provided by much previous wanton abuse of the environment.

16. I saw on the news last night...
that poor BP has to juggle between keeping their investors and the government happy. Nothing said about keeping the folks whose livelihoods are shot or the critters...

17. BLM is happy, the investors are happy, BP is happy
Hell, even the owners of the two huge ranches who are participating in this "arrangement" are happy.

Of course the mustangs are wide eyed with terror at being driven off OUR public lands and into corrals. And, unfortunately, most people don't know anything about it. Maybe it'll finally get some coverage, but its too little too late.

9. There ya have it......

profits are the problem.

Most particularly in the matter of the commons and essential products and services.

Nationalize the Energy, Finance, MIC and Health care sectors, for a start.
