Enough Already, Mr. President - if You Stand up for Shirley Sherrod You Stand up for Us All

Enough.

Mr. President, Secretary Vilsack, please stand up to the hatemongers, do the right thing, and reinstate Ms. Shirley Sherrod.

Sherrod says her remarks, delivered in March at a local NAACP banquet in Georgia, were part of a story about racial reconciliation, not racism. The white farming family that was the subject of the story stood by Sherrod and said she should keep her job.

'We probably wouldn't have (our farm) today if it hadn't been for her leading us in the right direction,' said Eloise Spooner, the wife of farmer Roger Spooner of Iron City, Ga. 'I wish she could get her job back because she was good to us, I tell you.'

3. Does the Obama Admin have Federal Employee's backs?

As a Federal Employee, I'm used to having Repug Administrations shit all over us. I mean, look at Valerie Plame for the most egregious example. But, what this latest problem is telling me is that if I am on video saying ANYTHING - even if the video is obviously edited - I'm going to be thrown under the bus by the Obama Administration without recourse. Someone could take the videos of me leading panels at a science fiction convention, chop them together to make them sound racist, put them up on Breitbart, and I will be forced to resign. Without a hearing, or even an inquiry.

Fuck this.

Fox Propaganda and Breitbart as being the racist slime manufacturers they are. If they get away with this, what will they do next? If they keep pushing limits, something's gonna pop.
