Breitbart and Faux did this (sherrod) to distract from the signing of the financial reform bill
and any floor debate by the republicans regarding unemployment.

I think Obama needs to sign the financial bill then take the pulpit to let Faux et al have it. It will bring attention back to the signing of the reform bill but more importantly, Faux will be taken to task.

I believe a perfect segue could be made; i.e. Despite republican games and obstructionism, we have not signed the financial reform bill into law.... then go on to talk about the Sherrod situation and tie it all together.

I can only hope and pray he does what he needs to do.

1. Right. Why should Obama get into the dung pit with Breath Fart.
Obama is above pieces of feces like Breath Fart.

I don't know why we keep falling for the right wing spin. I really don't.

3. Oh have you noticed the Financial Reform Bill is going to
Edited on Wed Jul-21-10 07:44 AM by doc03
be signed today. The FRB was going to destroy the Wall Street banks and brokers. Why is the DOW Futures up 46 points? If this was going to destroy life as we know it shouldn't the DOW Futures be down a few hundred points?

4. A Campaign Ploy...
and an ongoing one. It started with the attacks on Van Jones and then on ACORN and now the NAACP is in its sites. This is a right wing attempt to nullify the race issue and try to turn it on its head. If you question the racists, you must then be one yourself. It's to muddy the waters to those who thing there's no difference between Democrats and rushpublicans..."both sides do it" about the race issue. The GOOP knows that it needs to discredit civil rights groups as they represent a growing voting bloc that is a major threat to any GOOP return to power, thus they have to paint anyone who calls them racist as racist as well and try to confuse those in the middle.

This is yet another attempt to try to disenfranchise minority voters through intimidation...to paint the NAACP and other groups that organize voting as corrupt and hope to supress black and hispanic votes in November. Inversely it also is intended to energize its own racist base...one of the few things that still hold the GOOP together.
