1. That is one sick situation
I went to a forensic nursing conference last month and the topic of cyber-stalking and child porn was covered. The speaker was an expert witness on child development. Just one example of what she had to testify to, turned my stomach. Believe me, it's too offensive to post here. She would go to trial to "prove" from pictures that a child--especially a girl child who may be developing earlier or faster--was 8 or 10 or 6. Or the probable age of an infant. The two age categories were under 18, or under 12. She viewed thousands of pictures, and she's just one women, with one jurisdiction.

These pedophiles have clubs all over the world and often to get "in" you need a certain number of pictures. The speaker warned of the danger of sending picture of your young children even via email, because these assholes will pick up anything photo-shop it, or use the picture as is.

That psychologist should be in jail right along with his client
"local psychologist who interviewed Vessey and conducted a risk assessment on him at the request of his defense lawyer told Judge Sheila Whelan there's no reason the justice system should restrict Vessey's ability to go to places where young girls tend to congregate, even if he's doing it for the sake of sexual arousal.

"If he hasn't hurt anybody, I don't see why he shouldn't be allowed to go," Terry Nicholaichuk testified."

2. That is the dilemma of progressives.
If it is innate to be attracted to that, what do we do? My only answer can be someone has to be an adult before they can legally give consent. What the fuck do we do to,and with this enormous seemingly part of our population. I would kill someone, literally that ruined a relative.

3. I don't have a dilemma with this at all, and I have a great solution!
Let's let this guy teach HACKY SACK lessons to those girls. Only thing is, we'll make the HackySack out of his ball sac. Then, after he's given a few lessons, we'll hobble the baastid so the girls can see him coming by his limping!

Actually, I think child molesters need to be locked up for life. They don't have to be locked up in brutal surroundings, they should have basics, a bed, a TV, a place to exercise, a library, and limited access to the internet for research and edification, with strict filters. They should be allowed to work if they want, but they shouldn't be allowed to ever walk free in society. You harm a kid, you lose your liberty. Permanently.

This guy is sick; he's not ever gonna get better. And it's not a "sick" that can be cured, and it causes grave and irreparable harm to others--to children. So I have no issue with removing that kind of danger from society--it's like cutting out a cancer.

8. Only we got that 8th Amendment thing. "No cruel and unsual punishment"
Locking them up forever is good enough. But MADem is right. People like that mostly do not get better. My understanding is that 80-90% after imprisonment go out and repeat their offenses. A life long lock down, and filtered internet programs that do not allow any images at all. It should be done with compassion, but the punishment needs to be absolute.

5. I would not be able to have my daughter in gymnastics competitions if he lived here
If I knew he might be at an event, I would have to keep her home.

Sick. I understand that there's no evidence that he's actually molested anyone. But if he's taken inappropriate photos at these events and distributed them, does that give enough reason to make him stay away from them?

9. The solution is not to punish your child for his perversions.
We surrender enough of our rights in this country to criminals. The solution to this guy is to permanently ban him from any public event that isn't co-sponsored by AARP and the Hell's Angels. He should live in the same kind of fear he causes every parent and child in society.

11. Yeah but what if they don't ban him?
As a parent, I'd have to protect my child.

It is sickening. :(

12. I would seriously call him out. Go to the event, point to him and announce what he did.
"Hey look, everyone! There's that convicted child pornographer who's trying to attend the local gymnastics events!" Then I'd take his picture and fax it to every school board and UIL committee in the county.

A 30-something perv once tried to hit on my 14 year old daughter in a book store once. In the last three years I have seen him in public now (once at a coffeeshop on a date with a girl and twice at that bookstore) and I walked up to him and mentioned the incident in as loud a voice as I could. He works at that bookstore and I sure as hell mentioned the incident to his manager.

He fucking hates me, but I understand he behaves himself now.

I'm a single parent and I do NOT stay quiet when someone pervs on my child.
