Despite claim that "context matters," Beck played heavily edited Sherrod clip on radio
On Fox, Glenn Beck said that because he didn't have the "full context" of the clip of Shirley Sherrod speaking to the NAACP, "this is something that I wouldn't air and demand a resignation on." However, earlier that day on his radio show, Beck played the clip and suggested it indicated that America has "transported into 1956 except it's the other way around."

He played the clip on his radio program and made comments about her being a racist.

He is currently lying when he says that context matters and he would never aid the tape.

He did air the tape without the context!

Why is no one calling him out on this?

4. Brietbart and his allies did it again -
savvy manipulation of the media along the toxic subject of race.

Way too quick to respond was the hyper-sensitive to race issues Administration, thereby falling into the trap and letting this bogus story consume the news while financial reform package passage takes a back seat. (yes, I know it was substantially weakened)

More phony racism dead ahead -- they have tasted blood and will go after the unjustified doubts and fears of white "independent" voters.

Underlying all of this is our history of enslavement and brutal discrimination of African Americans and other peoples of color. The fear is why wouldn't "they" exact retribution when given the chance?

Seizing on any incident, even though fabricated, is the winger ticket in the near future.
