I partly blame the State Party that prodded Joe Hoeffel to be a sacrificial lamb against Specter a couple of terms back. Just when we were poised to make real progress in the district, Joe gave up his seat and Repub-lite Schwartz jumps in to save it for the corporatists and DLCers.

Which is somewhat surprising me since he tends to err on the side of caution when it comes to cosponsoring health bills (he's a chairman of a health subcommittee). He did not cosponsor Alan Grayson's Medicare bill in March.

This is more of a reason to vote for him in November (even if his opponent were somewhat normal which she is not)

They blew it when they surrendered on the public option when it really counted. This is nothing but a fig leaf to make them look good.

We have been fooled enough by these politicians. Remember the promises made about the Downing Street Memos?

Where's Wasserman-Schultz??? And Meek??? Notice...not one republican. Those who signed show they care about their constituents. Please don't stop there. Let's get the American people medical care when they are sick regardless of their status in life. This should be a basic right of all human beings. It astounds me that there are such greedy people out there that are so heartless they let babies, children, and the elderly die from illnesses easily treated without batting an eye. Somehow these people think they are privileged and entitled to control things. Let's show them they are no more privileged than the rest of us. And they can shove their $$$$$ up their asses.
