Glenn Beck is truly scary
I'm watching Glenn Beck for the first time. My hotel doesn't have MSNBC so I thought I check out the crazy fox news. Beck is saying that a year ago he said, "In a year you won't recognize America. Do you recognize it?" He is basically calling for a revolution. Beck is a crazy fuck. I am truly scared that there are people drinking this kool-aid. He constantly promotes his website, "Sign up for my newsletter at glennbeck.com" I'm pretty sure my blood pressure is unhealthy at this point.

1. Complain to the hotel about not having MSNBC.
I can only watch him for about the first 30 seconds to see what he's bitching about now.

He's dangerous but it's hard to tell how many people actually buy his crap.

12. Last year I stayed at a Marriott
on the East Coast. Very expensive, even with the corporate rate.
When I got their online survey, I filled it out with 10s on everything. Then in the comment section I wrote that I would never stay there again. I said I'd never stay at any hotel that cost over $150/night that only has FOX on their cable without MSNBC.

Hope you get one of those online surveys.

5. I don't know if he's so much nuts as he is a sociopath
He only cares about his own wallet and doesn't care what he does to the country in the process of making money.

I've seen him a couple of times, in passing through the channels. I can't watch him for long. He's very obviously nuts.

on that propaganda channel.

8. Checked with my favorite oracle
Having no TV, I've never seen Glen Beck but everything I've read about him, and the quotes make him sound like a creepy monster. My husband tells me that he thinks Beck will be anointed for public office and he'll be conditioned like Ronald Reagan to be the spokesman for the right, and then to run as the spokesman for the right.

I hope my husband's wrong, but he's been more right than wrong with his predictions.

24. Beck is unelectable
Much like Limbaugh: they are interested in working as propagandists and earning big bank, not running for office. What they do is to mobilize the nutjobs for the conservative cause.

Beck's alcoholism and conversion to Mormonism probably make him unelectable, even in a GOP primary. Plus, he claims to be going blind, so he may have other issues on his plate. Interesting that Limbaugh's deaf and Beck may soon be blind. Folks should tune them out and render them both mute. A fitting end for two guys who are basically cheesy radio disc jockeys who have a shtick they have nurtured into a moneymaker.

9. He's crazy like a fox
He stumbled onto a formula that's working for him, so he's milking it for all it's worth. Choose a topic. Mix in the words Socialist, Nazi, Regime, Mao, Republic, Constitution and Freedom. Write confusing diagrams on a blackboard. Repeat.

Most of my friends and family hang on his every word. I think *they're* the ones who are really insane.

13. Yeah, Beck scares me but the press he's getting scares me more...
That he isn't being roundly and instantly condemned by the mainstream is of deep concern.

15. This guy's a true believer in Mr. Beck. Here is an email I received
Edited on Tue Jul-27-10 08:19 AM by truckin
from a business associate. Read it and weep.

I'm writing this to friends, co-workers, family, and people I do business with. Some of you I know well and others not so much. But I have to tell you all that I'm so very concerned about what's going in our country and in our government right now. I know that some of you are becoming aware as I am now, but also realize that some work too much or have many other concerns such as family, friends, church, ect. and are spread pretty thin. It may be hard to imagine adding anything like an hour of news to everything that saps your time right now but this is a crucial time where ignorance isn't bliss.
Whatever your politics are, your skin color, religion, age or gender, most of us think of America as a great land with a rich heritage, present challenges and a promising, sure future but I'm here to tell you that it's slipping away from us right under our nose, right now, right here, on our watch. I honestly can hardly believe it but the facts absolutely speak for themselves. This is super important but I want to keep this somewhat brief.
First, keep an open mind. It's impossible to learn anything without that.
Next, if you can't imagine what I'm talking about so far then I'm probably talking specifically to you and please, please accept my challenge to find out what is freaking me out so much for yourself. To do this you have try to watch the news everyday but not just any news but specifically Fox news and if you can specifically the Glen Beck program. Record it if you can so you can watch when you have time. He is a true American hero and has put his life on the line doing what he's doing. I see such a similarity to MLK.
Some people swear he's crazy but he's been proving outrageous accusations about our president and all of his strange bed-fellows. It's absolutely to big and shocking to even mention everything right now except to say that so much disastrous legislation is being passed right now that makes congress irrelevant and gives the president "dictator" type authority that now any big crisis will trigger a type of presidential rule this country has never known. Unfortunately, there are many things that could trigger this to happen and the only thing that's going to stop it is if we all become informed and involved. We can't rely on someone else to watch out for us anymore. They are at best asleep at the wheel or worse yet, in on it too.
Please take the time to get informed and do something with that knowledge.
We can each make a difference.

I'm assuming it was a guy...

But, in any case, I would have sent a letter/e-mail back outlining all the stupidity and provable insanity that is Glenn Beck.

16. Pretty sure its all an act. He will push it to the limit and then when he starts to get ridiculed

he will dial it back. Its like he draws people in with his antics and then he tones it down for a while hoping he will keep them.

Not sure what it will take for Fox to pull him from the airwaves. I'm sure he will be involved in a scandal of some sort (when you keep a profile as high as he does somebody's bound to find something you're hiding). Hopefully that and the boycott of his sponsors and the loss of revenue to Faux will be enough for them to shitcan him.

outright telling their viewers that the joke is on them.

19. gwen becky needs to be subpoenaed. he claims to have proof
that someone is trying to radically overthrow our current government. Drag his ass before congress and make him put up or shut up. If he has no proof start looking at sedition laws.
