Reminder: All GDP Growth over 2.5% / year under Bush...

Reminder: During the 8 years of the Bush administration ALL GDP Growth over 2.5%/year was equity being taken out of real estate.

Minus real-estate equity borrowing the economy was dead in the water, year after year.

The current mess hurts so badly because things already sucked! (What is the total job creation figure for the Bush reign? Did it finish net negative? I think it did but don't recall the exact number.)

(I would have said all GDP growth over 2%, but there may have been a year in there when GDP minus equity-taken-from-real-estate was 2.2% or 2.4%.)
