(Maxine) Waters chooses ethics trial
Waters chooses ethics trial

Rep. Maxine Waters (D-Calif.) has chosen to go through an ethics trial, like the one lined up for New York Rep. Charles Rangel, rather than accepting charges made by an ethics subcommittee, a source familiar with the process tells POLITICO.

The back-to-back trials of a pair of black lawmakers represent an unprecedented use of an ethics adjudication system that has rarely been used by House members accused of breaking House rules.

Waters' case revolves around allegations that she improperly intervened with federal regulators to help a bank that her husband owned stock in and on whose board he once served.

"Congresswoman Waters has chosen to go through an adjudicatory subcommittee hearing, rather than accept any of the counts from the investigative subcommittee," the source told POLITICO.

3. I Heart Maxine and I Heart Charlie . . . . . but . . . . . .
. . . . . ethics allegations have swirled around them for years. At one point, Maxine was the lone Democrat on a list of the 10 dirtiest House members.

5. Ethics allegations can be raised about just about any pol
with experience.

Rangel and Waters were acting on the (unpopular) edge and now scapegoated after years of heroism and doing what was needed to stay in the conversation.

You are a great poster Stinky and I am angry today so forgive me.

4. If Waters, why not Feinstein?
Richard Blum, her husband and my fellow Haas MBA grad, is a war profiter. DiFi was instrumental in changing Senate Ethic rules for his no-bid contracts that made a shell into a 8 figure gross company.

DiFi became San Francisco Mayor when Mayor Moscone and Supervisor Harvey Milk were murdered in cold blood by Dan White, disgraced Supervisor quitter. White faced reduced changes from the "Twinky Defense" and I have no idea of his present state, probably hiding in comfort.

DiFi was more an ally of White than Moscone much less Harvey Milk at the time.

7. Dan White killed himself in 85
But DiFi plunders onward, and I agree she is far more corrupt than Maxine Waters could ever afford to be. Di And Dick are A List corrupt.
