Senator McCaskill:

Today nine US Senators went to the floor of the Senate to call for up or down votes on the growing list of judicial nominations that are pending more Republican and Democratic obstructionism. The one Democratic Senator who continues to block moving forward on judicial nominations is the Majority leader, who has consistently failed to file for cloture.

I have been writing to you every weekday about one nominee, Jane Branstetter Stranch (nominated to the 6th US Circuit Court of Appeals) who has been waiting for eight and a half months for a vote. This is my 30th correspondence with you about her stalled nomination. I will continue to write to you and Senate Majority Leader every weekday until such time as this noncontroversial and qualified nominee is confirmed.
