Blue Dog "Anal Sphincter du jour":
Actually, this is too close to call.

Ben Nelson(when is the last time he voted with us?) has announced he will NOT support President Obama's Supreme Court nominee, Ms. Kagan. Ben is up for reelection in 2012 and doesn't want to offend his conservative base back in Nebraska. His reelection, you see, is more important than doing what's right. And, YES, damn it, it IS just that damn simple!

Self-made lame duck Evan Bayh, the Hoosier with the room temperature IQ and suffering with delusions of adequacy, will support an extension of the Bush tax cuts! In making his announcement, Evan cautioned those favoring allowing the cuts to expire: "Do not make wealth fearful for the future!"

Awwwwww---those poor multi-millionaires! While millions of unemployed are grabbing all the attention just because they can't pay for food, clothing, shelter and medical care, those whose income puts them in the top one or two percent are having to downsize their private jets and reduce their household staff. And, no one cares!

Well, almost no one. Evan does.

Ben or Evan? Who should receive the coveted "Pucker of the Day" trophy?

2. I pick Bayh, his justification above is truly one to remember
with disgust. I almost feel like throwing up.

Obama is not going to give in to these fucks on the tax cut extension.

5. He's not half the man Birch Bayh was...
Not even a quarter.

Birch Bayh had guts and stood for something.

Evan never had anything but good hair days.

4. Who needs enemies?
When your "friends" can stab you in the back far more efficiently.

6. If Ben Nelson won't even vote for our Supreme Court nominees
We don't need him.

Nebraska voters could elect a REAL populist if one appeared. Nelson is not the best that state can do. Nebraskans deserve better than a shill for the insurance industry and a toady for the banks. Wouldn't have to be liberal on everything but would have to be on the side of the people William Jennings Bryan stood up for.

Somebody needs to step up and challenge him in the 2012 primary.

7. Bayh, by a long shot.
Every time I see that vacuous look on his face, I just wonder what is going on in that empty head.

I've met a lot of politicians in Washington, and have always said Chris Dodd is the dumbest Democrat I've ever met. I now offer a qualifier. I've never met Evan Bayh.

Nothing I hate more than whiney rich people.

8. Wow that quote of Bayh's is a real eye opener
I mean I always knew the guy was a total airhead but this is venturing into "Let them eat cake" territory.

Wonder what side he'll be on when the class war breaks out.

9. Huh? Why would wealth have to fear the future?
That is an incredibly absurd statement. I vote for Evan.
