This is the only thing I can think to do about Citizens United and the loss of our Democracy

First of all, I don't see Congress solving the issue of our elections being completely co-opted and corrupted by unlimited corporate cash. They just proved it with their inadequate yet still failed bill that attempts to DISCLOSE relationships but not to undo the relationships. Not to mention that the whole disclosure thing will just fall prey to the usual plethora of shell entities that no one can possibly keep up with. The people who want to kill kittens and end rainbows always call themselves "The Committee to Preserve Kittens and Rainbows".

I've stated before that I believe that the Citizens United decision was actually treasonous on its face because it completely ignored the potential for foreign governments and multi-national corporations to meddle in our elections. That point was argued before the SCOTUS and 5 justices chose to ignore it.

I really believe that the Justices in the majority opinion of Citizens United should be impeached and the decision overturned. I mean this in all seriousness. We do not have a Democracy if corporations can just infuse unlimited funds to promote those they want to hold office and do their bidding and oppose those they will not allow to hold office.

I would like to encourage a "Impeach the CU 5!" drive as of right now for the reasons I've stated.

It can start as small as bumper stickers and signs in political rallies. I actually remember the whole Impeach Earl Warren dust-up. A movement like this could develop legs.

FACT: 80% of the American public disagreed with Citizens United.

2. Reck
And kick because though I don't think the 'masses' and the herd will get the point (low information NON DU types of people) - It's a beautiful idea. And I want others to read it. ;-)

4. The more desperate America becomes, there will be those that might try to do this a different way...
... that is less peaceful than an impeachment.

I know we don't want to talk about it, but as the economic crisis deepens, there will be some that will try to get rid of one or more of the five through "other means". If they succeed, this country, though the Supreme Court might get "corrected" more immediately, will become that much more of a scary and less civilized place, especially if tea partiers want to exact "revenge" in that instance.

I hate to say it, but that might be the signal that America will start a revolution to those at the top if the continued oligarchic serfdom clampdown happens.

5. I hate to be cynical,
but If they couldn't even get a disclosure bill put to a vote, there's no way they can successfully launch impeachment proceedings.

Maybe we should just push for a constitutional amendment. It's probably no more difficult to achieve than impeachment, and it would put the issue to rest more or less permanently.

6. It depends on if people could unite on this single point.
I think Citizens United freaks out both the left and the right, rightly so.

This might be the very very rare instance where you could actually unify both the left and the right for a common goal. We have differences, but no one on either side likes to see their country turned into a corporate fiefdom populated by serfs who exist solely to have their pockets picked.

I really don't care how it is accomplished, amendment or impeachment and overturn, it just must really be eliminated if we would have even the pretense of our votes counting.

7. If we can unite enough people to actually change something
then we should go for an amendment. It would be much more certain and final.

Also, I doubt that we could get many people on the right interested in impeaching conservative justices.

8. If Congress is completely co-opted
Calls for impeachment aren't going anywhere. I could also hope for Constitutional Amendment(s) that would end the whole $ = speech, corporations > people ideology, the same problem prevails.

I can only hope that over time, the Supreme Court is no longer dominated by the Scalia brand.
