Iraq bans footage, photos of bombings
Associated Press
Last updated: Tuesday, May 15th, 2007 07:07:25 AM

BAGHDAD -- Iraqi news photographers and camera operators have been ordered away from the scene of a bombing, under new rules blocking coverage of the bloody attacks.

Police fired several shots in the air as a warning to journalists covering a bombing in Baghdad. snip

They deny it's aimed at curtailing press freedom.

1. First, our troops denied access to many blogs, now ban on pics
What war? There isn't any war... There's DEMOCRACY, and it's on the march! <-----look for it soon from chimpy's lips

Look for a BIG jump in reports of stateside accidents where troops are killed. DOD will have to account for something to grieving families. But bet ya dollars to dough-nuts the numbers get boiled down from actual deaths. It seems unlikely all the parents/spouses would get together and compare their losses to the numbers actually reported. Not like DOD is inexperienced at cooking the books in most areas anyway.

In the big chess game that is going on, one might surmise the good spooks and military brass are tightening the noose around the neocon queen and his king

4. I guess the GOP thinks if we can't see it, it isn't happening.
I also guess they expect us to believe that the troops coming home in flag draped coffins are just a figment of our imagination.

Nothing to see here, folks. Move along...

I'd still like to know why we aren't impeaching Bush and Cheney yet. They have done nothing if they haven't committed impeachable offenses.

7. These f'ers will stop at nothing to promote their bullshit war.
Welcome to fascist propaganda at it's finest. Soon they be showing all the wonderful, staged "feel good" photos of little Iraqi children with puppies, at school, and the school is made of "freedom flowers", and the water and electricity flow like wine, and there's a Gap store on the corner of the new wonderful outdoor shopping mall that gives away free bubblegum and chocolate, oh yeah, and McCain is there too, holding a child on his broad shoulders, and they're waving and smiling as rose-petals fall from the sky, and everyone is driving Cadillac Escalades, oh and look over there, I think I see an Olive Garden...

Escalaaaaades...

9. listening to Jeff Farias from last nite, and he said that these thugs
learned something from the Vietnam war (which was always being reported on) and that was not to show this invasion their crimes keep on mounting huh? like we won't get our news from somewhere else like Guardian UK or BBC news. this is sickening.
