When President Obama Comes To Chicago Does He Fly Into.....

O'Hare Airport or Midway? Just curious because on Thursday evening the police had the exit on Harlem Ave and the Stevenson Expressway blocked and traffic diverted. I got three different stories from police and news reports of why the exit was blocked. One cop told me that there was a serious accident on Harlem. Another told me that the exit was just shut down - with no real explanation and when I pressed if this was being done for the President - they just told me to move along. And News Radio 78 Traffic Report said there was emergency bridgework that needed to be done and that is why traffic was diverted.

I've seen how they block streets in D.C. when the president is moving through the streets in a motorcade and what was going on in Chicago was reminiscent of that. I was thinking his motorcade was in route to Midway Airport and that is why they blocked the streets and diverted traffic - but I couldn't get a confirmation of that. The timing was right for this to happen - as he was to leave Chicago in the early evening.

I didn't think Air Force One would fly into Midway - so I'm just curious as to what was going on.

Did anybody else out there get stuck in this traffic jam? - because whatever was going on really screwed up traffic.

I don't know what he did on Thursday but that is his normal procedure.
