About the "illegal" who killed a nun in Va. this week - A *shocker* of an editorial

This is from the supersillyrightwing Richmond Times-Dispatch editors no less

Sister Denise Mosier died in a car accident allegedly caused by an illegal immigrant who was driving under the influence. Please note the following dates:

News accounts report that Carlos Montano was cited for reckless driving in 2006, for speeding twice in 2007, public drunkenness in 2007, driving an uninspected vehicle in 2008, and driving with a revoked license in 2008.

All the incidents listed above occurred during the Bush administration. The failure to enforce immigration law truly is a bipartisan one.

1. GW* loved him some cheap laborers.

He's from Texis, you know. Just as long as the brown people know their place and will work really, really hard for very low pay, it's all good. Now, if they get all uppity and want to become, like, citizens, or get some good jobs, well, then they need deporting, of course.

Yessir, he loves him some cheap laborers who can be kicked right out if they demand anything. It's the Merkin way, doncha see...the Republican way.

I'm also surprised that they brought up the fact that St. Reagan signed legislation that they referred to as "one of the biggest flops in legislative history." Stunning. Wish I'd see stuff like that in my local right wing rag.

3. Not only did they occur during the Bush years

but he has the normal driving record of a DWI that causes another person's death with 2 tons of lethal weapon. Yet there are plenty that will excuse the serial drunk driver and too many judges that will let them off with a hand slap. Hell around here you usually serve less than 2 years if you do kill someone while DWI. The problem was not his immigration status but his serial drunk driving.
